India were bundled out for 187 runs in the 1st inning after they won the toss and elected to bat first against South Africa. For India, only Kohli, Pujara and Bhunveshwar were the highest scoring batsmen.

India won the toss and elected to bat first against South Africa in the 3rd and the final test match of the 3 match series. India made two changes in their playing eleven, Ajinkya Rahane replaces Rohit Sharma while Bhuvneshwar Kumar replaces Ashwin.

South Africa has already clinched the series 2-0 and is eyeing for a whitewash win, on the other hand, Virat Kohli led side would like to save themselves from a humiliating series defeat.

India will look to extend their lead and try to put a solid score on the board to make it difficult for South Africa. Remember, the Proteas will bat last on this surface and as experts said, it will not be easy to bat fourth on this wicket. If India give them anything more than 250 to chase, the hosts will have to really grind hard to make it happen. The result is sure to come, unless rain gods arrive to disturb the match proceedings. India were 49/1 at the end of Day 2 in their second innings and lead South Africa by 42 runs.

Hardik Pandya Flop SHOW:

Hardik Pandya departs for 4, Rabada takes a neat catch in his follow through. Third wicket for him. He has looked totally out of sorts in this innings and it has come as no surprise! He hits one back at Rabada who takes a one-handed catch so easily and then throws the ball back at the batsman. He immediately apologises and is reprimanded by the umpire as well. But the bigger picture here is that India have lost number six. The lead is 141. Bhuvi walks out to the middle. So this is effectively India’s last recognised pair as Rahane can afford to trust Bhuvi.
